I highly recommend Mandy [Miria] Ryan [at the Spark of Life Whole-You Center]. She is a knowledgeable and skilled Reiki practitioner. As a scientist, I was dubious about Reiki at first, but it works better for me than any other treatment or medication I have tried. I have a functional neurological disorder that makes the left half of my body shake and spasm violently, but I am tremor-free for a few weeks to months after a Reiki session with Mandy, so I keep going back.

So far, we have tried three kinds of Reiki treatments, and they were all effective, but they felt very different to me. Usui Reiki was very intense, and I experienced weird sensations throughout my body during the sessions, including waves of nausea. It took me a while to recover, but my mind and body felt better afterward. Angelic Reiki was much softer and more euphoric. During the session, I felt my energy sloshing back and forth between my body’s left and right sides, and I felt lighter afterward. Etheric Surgery was somewhere in between the other two in intensity. I saw bright, colorful lights during the session and felt negative energy leaving my body and coiling on the floor below me. I felt shaken and sore afterward but also more peaceful. I do not know if Reiki will work for everyone or if they will experience what I do (I tend to feel the energy of places and organisms more intensely than most people), but it is worth trying.
