This course will take 6-12 months depending on the student’s processes throughout the courses. Usui Reiki is the healing aspect of universal energy, channeled to assist the body in becoming balanced and healthy. Usui Reiki will help to align the body’s ki (life force) to promote emotional, energetic, and spiritual balance; the practice should not be used in place of existing medical practices. ~Usui Reiki is a spiritual practice that is not associated with any particular religion and is accessible to everyone interested in practicing.~ If you're interested in working with Reiki yourself, here is the basic layout of the class structure. Each workshop listed will be 4-6 hours long and students will receive a Reiju (blessing) at each level to enhance channeling practices. ~Reiki I is an introductory class to learn self-healing. We will learn the history of Reiki, a meditation practice, and practical applications. ~Reiki II is an in-depth class to build on our lessons from Reiki I, furthering our understanding of channeling Energy to facilitate healing and promote balance in the Self and Others. This workshop will be held in two sessions: • First session - we will learn additional meditations and practical application to work with others through in-person and distance healing sessions. The homework will be providing pro bono sessions for others to gain hands-on experience. • Second session is the certification portion to become Reiki practitioners. ~Reiki Level III is an in-depth set of classes to build on our lessons from Reiki Levels I and II, furthering our understanding of channeling and practice. This workshop will be broken up into three sessions: • First session - We will learn more about the body and how to work with specific ailments, along with some additional meditations. • Second session - we will learn how to perform Reiju and have an in-depth discussion on teaching Usui Reiki to others. The homework assignment for this session will be to create a teaching manual. • Third session - the student will turn in a copy of their teacher manual and discuss the materials; we will discuss teaching and practice techniques in depth. This is a certification class for teaching Usui Reiki.
